Paula v.N
Paula was diagnosed with a pituitary tumour, causing acromegaly in December of 2005. Since then, she has undergone treatment and is working toward fulfilling her dream of competing in the Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hawaii.

Esther Ann was born in Saint John, New Brunswick, and currently resides in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. She is 71 years old and is the eldest of a large family of nine children. Esther Ann is a proud mother of four children and has six grandchildren.

Stephen G.
Stephen was born in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, and lived there until he was three years old when he moved to central Nova Scotia. Since graduating from high school, he has been living in Halifax. He is currently a third year psychology student at university, and works part-time in a hotel as a server/bartender in the banquets department. Stephen is the eldest of three sons in his family.

Doug M.
Doug is 69 years old and was born in Fredericton, New Brunswick. He is young in spirit, body and mind and is an active individual who loves the outdoors and all the activities that go along with it. Doug is currently enjoying retired life in Masstown, Nova Scotia, with his wife, having completed a full career in police work as a Forensic Specialist.

Peggy M.
Peggy is the middle child of 11 children. She was born in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, and was raised there until the age of 13 when she moved to Sydney, Nova Scotia. She currently lives in North Sydney, Nova Scotia, with her husband, Kenny, and their five children. Peggy is self-employed as a hard working Domestic Engineer (a.k.a., a stay at home mom).

William (Bill) P.
Bill was born and raised in the Halifax metropolitan area of Nova Scotia. He currently resides in Williamswood, Nova Scotia, with his wife. He has two grown children and two grandchildren. For over 30 years, Bill worked as a printer and volunteered his time as a firefighter. He is currently retired and enjoys escaping the Canadian winters by spending time in Florida.

Oz will forever hold a special place in our hearts: Known affectionately by family and friends as "Ozzie", his soft spoken and gentle spirit was a true gift to all who knew him.
